I’m sorry you want to leave the LwL community. We would prefer you stay and share with us your insights and wisdom.

Sorry if you took my points of view as evangelization. At the University we studied the Bible as a book of philosophy along with Socrates, Plato and so many other philosophies without exceptions. And each person keeps what fits them better or strike a chord in their inner being. I love philosophy, and I would like to get to the supernatural- as some ancient books refer to. At one point I was interested in the Rosicrucians but got scared and dropped it .

Im just trying to find for my inner peace, a quick answer to this limerence craziness. It’s taking too long; and since Dr.L brought the subject of devils, I thought there’s also another point of view for some people. That’s all. I never had limerence before and/or any obsessions, so I’m investigating everything I can put my hands on.
Read, study, keep or discard. So far no valid answers on the esoteric sphere that I can adopt, or help me
with the limerence issue. So, I’ll
drop the subject…

Frederico….please don’t go. I really value your inputs. Especially recently on letting LE fizz down. I found abrupt NC too painful and lacked sincerity. You helped on this point. Frankness and grounded comments you bring and expect from others is more than ok in my book. I try to just let the comments that are out of my cerebral / religious sphere just pass by and hone in on the ones that resonate more. Forums like this will always go through phases, and LwL is in a new phase it seems to me, despite Lost In Spaces celebrity appearance today…. ha ha !!! Hey … let’s try to be more light hearted in all this LE sh#t …. I think it’s the way to go….

People that study the Bible profoundly and are not afraid of the esoteric find in it a lot of nuggets about the devil and his wiles… (but they don’t read or practice it in most of the churches).

Apostle John speaks of the works of the devil: 1 John 3:8 “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil”

Jesus himself gave authority
to the apostles in Luke 9:1 to cast out demons; “ Then he called His 12 disciples together and gave them authority over all demons and to cure diseases.”

Apostle Paul talks about the warfare with the spirits(demons) of the air in his epistle to the Ephesians:

Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

In 2 Corinthians10:4 Paul writes to the Corinthians : “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”

And then in Acts 16:18 Paul shows how to cast out a demon/foul spirit.

There’s a lot of scripture referring to the subject of the devils work in humans, but this is a very delicate subject many churches do not appear to have the stomach to touch.

In John 10:10 John gives a description of the devil ‘s work: “ The thief (the devil) does not come except to steal and to kill, and to destroy. I, ( Jesus) have come that they (you) May have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

I understand, by reading articles, that there are churches around the world which practice this doctrine along with the regular teachings, but not many.

I’d like you to expand on that animus/anima idea and the LE. I’ve thought quite a bit that my LO might have some of my own animus qualities. Those male qualities that I’m not really very familiar with but maybe my subconscious is alerting me to pay more attention to. It’s an interesting idea to me. That I have this LO who is playing mind games with me, is toying with me, is calling the shots with me, and my subconscious animus is responding.

Thanks for your answer Rachel. I am also very sick of this limerence situation. I just don’t feel like myself. Just seeing LO for one day messed up my 6w NC. He’s constantly on my mind again, and I hate the conscious “i see i have a message from him but I won’t look at my phone, so he sees that I haven’t read his message yet”. I’m constantly thinking again about what message I am sending to him, trying hard to play it cool. I am so sick of it. I know what I have to do, I have to go NC again, but I feel like I am almost waiting for a trigger again to use it to go NC.
